• Currently we do not accept payment through insurance or provide superbills. There are a few reasons for this. First, I value providing incredibly robust support and coaching. If I were to follow the rules and restrictions of insurance, it would affect the quality of care you receive in a negative way. Simply put, insurance would not cover the unique level of care you receive from my 1:1 services. Second, it’s important to acknowledge that while I am a Registered Dietitian, I work with my clients in a coach to client relationship - NOT a practitioner to patient relationship, and I am not associated with a medical office. I provide concierge level coaching support, not Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT). Offering superbills or insurance coverage would shift our relationship into the realm of practitioner to patient, altering the structure of this business and the type of care I provide. If in the future I do start accepting insurance, the services page of this website will reflect that.

  • We do not accept health insurance nor provide superbills for physical therapy services provided. There are many reasons for this. Firstly, some of the services I provide may not be covered by your insurance provider, which would lead to an added out of pocket expenditure. Secondly, depending on your insurance deductible and specialist copay, a one-hour session could cost your insurance up to $200. If you haven’t met your deductible yet, this cost is on you. Now imagine this with multiple PT sessions, the cost adds up quickly! Secondly, with Oklahoma being a direct-access state, you do not need a “doctor’s script” to see me short-term. However, to go through insurance I may need a doctor's script to properly derive reimbursement for rendered services, and I am limited from treating anything not specified in the doctor’s script. So if you got a script for your low back, but your shoulder is bothering you too, I would not be able to address your shoulder. Private pay allows you to bypass your primary doctor and whatever hoops they make you jump through before getting to physical therapy, saving you precious time and money. Lastly, you are paying for a fully 1-on-1 session with me to work on YOUR needs - not what INSURANCE says is important - at your location of choice within the Oklahoma City metro. I charge a flat fee per hour so I can guarantee you will not get any “surprise” bills in the mail at a later date.

  • Nutrition services are all virtual. Our Physical Therapist can see clients in-person if they live in the Oklahoma City metro area. Check out his in-person services HERE.

  • Not quite. Although the full title for a dietitian is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN or RD), an RDN credential is more exclusive than a Nutritionist title. RDNs must have a Bachelor’s degree (although many like myself have Master’s degrees) from an accredited dietetics program, complete 1,200+ hours of (unpaid) supervised clinical practice, pass a national RDN exam, complete continuing education to maintain the RDN credential, and maintain requirements for state licensure. However, there are no standardized requirements for the title of “nutritionist.” Dietitians are the nutrition professionals in the healthcare community!

  • As a Physical Therapist in Oklahoma practicing in Oklahoma, a direct-access state, I do NOT need a doctor’s referral to work with you. However - if I were to see you for longer than 30 days for a certain issue, I WILL need a doctor’s referral. But let's get one thing straight: my goal is to complete your treatment in less than 30 days, because who wants to wait any longer to get out and do the activities you love? In a case where you ever need a referral, I will let you know ASAP.
